The SpecialNeeds Feeder is so effective and easy to use that it can actually change feeding sessions from adifficult or even traumatic experience into a pleasurable activity for the mother and baby. Customer Reviews
Bottle works great; just didn't need it for my son (2009-10-20)
This type of bottle was recommended by Tracy Hogg in Baby Whisperer. My son would choke on regular bottles, so I thought this would work. If I had gotten it much sooner, maybe it would have been great, but I got it towards the 2nd month, and he'd already been BF and bottle feeding. I will use this with my next child though.
Would recommend for any baby (2009-02-02)
Once you learn to use this, it's fantastic. Turning the bottle makes it easier or harder for baby to suck out the milk. Turn it to easier when he's getting frustrated or sleepy, harder when he's getting too much and is starting to get panicky or choking.
We bought this product for our second son, who has a weak suck. I actually wish I had known about it for my first son. I'd recommend it over a regular bottle for any baby.
It fits on any Medela bottle, but the membrane is different from a regular Medela membrane, so don't lose it.
Great special needs feeder (2008-12-02)
Our son was born with a cleft lip and palate. He has been doing remarkably well feeding with this bottle. We are very pleased with the Haberman feeder (except for the exorbitant price). That said, it's worth it's weight in gold to have our baby eat well.
Misleading Picture w/great product and Affiliate Company (2008-10-13)
We ordered two of these items from Amazon in early October 2008. At the time of the order and this writing, the photo for the item shows two bottles, so naturally we thought we were ordering four bottles with our order.
There is only ONE bottle per order, not two as pictured. This is misleading.
The Amazon affiliate company that actually serviced the order was terrific in getting the error squared away. Mom's Maternity Online said that they had no control over the photo presented by Amazon. They worked with us for an equitable solution.
Usually I have found Amazon to be great to deal with, but next time I will work directly with 'Mom's Maternity Online' for our baby supplies. The product itself is great for our babies needs and the vendor demonstrated to me that they will put the customer first to get the order right.
So this is a great review for the product and, unusually so, also for the 'Amazon Marketplace' company that was easy to work with to resolve the misleading Amazon product listing error!
